What began as a powerful vision has grown into ROOTED for Change—a nonprofit organization committed to breaking barriers and expanding access to education, wellness, and economic opportunity in the communities that need it most.

Rooted in Kyle, Texas, our work is focused on serving communities across the state, with plans to expand our impact into new regions. Our mission is bold: to build pathways, nurture leadership, and create systems of access that empower individuals, families, and entire communities to thrive.

As the founder and CEO, I bring my personal experiences growing up in Memphis, Tennessee—and my work across education, wellness, and workforce development—to lead ROOTED for Change into its next phase of impact.

Our mission is deeply personal:

ROOTED for Change is proud to call Kyle, Texas home—a community where we are laying the foundation for something bold, transformative, and lasting. Our vision is clear: by 2027, we will open a community center that will serve as a hub for healing, learning, connection, and celebration.

This center—part of our Legacy Center Campaign—will stand as a testament to our belief that when communities have access to the right tools, resources, and support, they don’t just survive—they thrive.

What Will This Look Like?

The ROOTED Community Center will be a place where:

• Young people are mentored and guided toward academic and career success

• Men’s mental health is supported through stigma-free spaces and holistic wellness programs

• Financial literacy and wellness workshops empower families to build economic security

• Local leaders, partners, and neighbors come together to create a stronger, more connected community

But this vision is bigger than a building. It’s about being present in our community, responsive to local needs, and proactive in creating solutions that are sustainable, inclusive, and community-driven.
